Nausea and Vomiting During Pregnancy
Nausea and vomiting are common, especially in the first 3 months of pregnancy. In most pregnant women, pregnancy nausea and vomiting decreases and disappears after the 12th week.
One of the causes of pregnancy nausea and vomiting is increased pregnancy-related hormones in the blood.
Pregnancy nausea and vomiting are more common and may be more severe in multiple pregnancies, grape pregnancies, thyroid disease and urinary tract infection.
To protect against pregnancy nausea and vomiting;
-Eat little and often; Eat small portions throughout the day instead of eating large meals at each meal
-Stay away from oily, spicy foods with homemade paste.
-Stay away from foods that increase your nausea
-Take the vitamin you need before going to bed at night.
- Consume snacks such as saltine crackers
-You can consume products containing ginger by consulting your doctor.
If nausea is accompanied by severe vomiting, electrolyte imbalance occurs or the mother loses weight, intravenous serum treatment may be required.
